- It follows the titular goat trying to escape an oncoming cloud
- But for a seemingly simple endless runner, it's remarkably hard to find any info
On occasion, when we trawl through the hinterlands of mobile gaming we come across some strange and virtually unknown listings. This is exactly the case with today's subject, Gizmoat. What's it all about? Well, let's dig in and let me try to explain.
I'll admit what drew me in to take a look at Gizmoat was not what I knew about it, but what I didn't. Aside from the iOS App Store listing there's only a very minimalist website from which you can draw any conclusions about Gizmoat. And even then it's not much, but here's what we do know.
Gizmoat is an endless runner (platformer?) where you need to outpace an ominous cloud that is chasing your titular goat across the mountain. There doesn't seem to be any set win condition in favour of simply running away from the cloud for as long as possible, as is the tradition with most endless runners.
Now, given that I don't play on iOS, I can't say either way exactly how good (or bad) Gizmoat actually is. But it's one of many strange listings that don't seem to have much of a footprint outside of the occasional website. And it's a shame because I think there'd be a bit more to say if I, well, knew anything about it.
Still, if you're looking for something to give a go and aren't fussed about giving a chance to something that could end up being a stinker, then maybe Gizmoat is worth a look.
