I-play has snapped up five 3D games from German developer Fishlabs, including the rather marvellous Galaxy On Fire (pictured), which has already bagged a Pocket Gamer Gold Award.

The games will be released later this year and in the first few months of 2007, and also include the futuristic racer Planet Riders, which sees you racing souped-up jet racers across ten planets in the third millennium.

Meanwhile, Burning Tires is a more traditional wheel-based racer with 12 tracks spread across three locations, and a Bluetooth multiplayer option thrown in too.

Finally, I-play will also release copter title Heli Strike and comic-style shoot-'em-up Tank Raid as part of the agreement.

It's not the first time some of the games have had a publishing deal, mind. This time last year, Fishlabs had just signed a similar deal with a company called Arvato Mobile to release Galaxy On Fire and Burning Tires.

However, if the new I-play deal means more gamers get to play Galaxy On Fire and its chums, it's fine by us! Watch for new reviews where required as and when the games come out.
