Top mobile action game set for take-off on Microsoft's mobile OS

Exclusive: Fishlabs working on Galaxy on Fire for Windows Phone 7

Talking to Pocket Gamer earlier today, CEO and co-founder of top mobile game studio Fishlabs Michael Schade revealed that he would be “very surprised” if Windows Phone 7 users didn't see an iteration of Galaxy on Fire appear on the platform this year.

Galaxy on Fire is a space-action series that originally appeared on Java mobiles, winning a Pocket Gamer Gold Award for its stunning graphics and gameplay. The series was later remade for iOS and a number of other mobile systems.

Galaxy on Fire 2 (pictured) is currently one of the most critically acclaimed titles on the iPhone.

In terms of the platform as a whole, Schade was very positive on the OS's future, saying that he expected there to be at least “ten million” handsets by the end of the year thanks to the recent Nokia deal.
