With Rovio claiming it's making more than $1 million a month on the back of Angry Birds plush toys, it's clearly time for other popular mobile developers to get in on the action.

And that's just what Australian outfit Halfbrick is doing with Fruit Ninja.

Technically, of course, the game is all about slicing fruit, which is hard to characterise in the same way as coloured birds, so the company has gone for a sliced melon plush - the game's icon - and the wise old sensei who acts as your in-game tutor.

They will be available priced $14.99/£14.99 and $15.99/£15.99 respectively - or both for $29.99/£29.99 - from the official Fruit Ninja store.

The sensei is listed as being available now, with the melon available to pre-order.
