Player One signs Shadow Light deal for more sports games

We don't usually cover dry business development deals on Pocket Gamer, but this one holds out the carrot of cool games, so we're making an exception.

British publisher Player One has signed a deal with developer Shadow Light Games, which will exclusively work on future versions of Player One's big sports franchises, including those based on snooker player Ronnie O'Sullivan, cricketer Freddie Flintoff, and ginger potting supremo Steve Davis. (Yes, he's a snooker player, too.)

In fact, Shadow Light will be developing ten games for Player One over the next couple of years, including some licences that haven't been announced yet.

We think it's great news, given the quality of Shadow Light's previous games for Player One – including Ronnie O'Sullivan Snooker 2007 and Freddie Flintoff All-Round Cricket.
