Foundation: Galactic Frontier is based on the Apple TV series Foundation, which draws from the novels by iconic sci-fi author Isaac Asimov. Focusing on a group of scientists exiled to a small planet, amidst the backdrop of a crumbling Galactic Empire, it sees the scientists struggling to anticipate and solve different crises to prevent a galactic dark age.
Now, Foundation: Galactic Frontier is less concerned with grand questions of morality, philosophy and mathematics, and moreso with action and adventure. For better or for worse, as a spacefaring captain called a Trader, you'll assemble your own fleet and crew of ships especially designed for the Galactic Frontier.

I'm sure there'll be plenty of grumbling from longtime fans of the Foundation series, even of the TV show specifically. But at the same time, I think if you expected something more cerebral, you might have been hoping for too much.But none of that is to say that Galactic Frontier looks to be lacking in the typical strategic action, base-building fun and fleet-levying intrigue.
