Fortnite Reload’s upcoming season features a map inspired by Squid Game
Red Light. Green Light. Run.

- The Squid Game Reload map releases on June 27th
- Loot pool is also expanding
- Reload and Zero Build modes will also see a Ranked Reset
Fortnite Reload’s next update will be anything but routine. Beginning in a couple of days, you’ll fight to survive in Squid Games, a new map inspired by the Squid Game universe. Red Light, Green Light shifts from being pure nostalgia to an in-game mechanic. From twisted playgrounds to underground mazes, this new map offers chaos, tight quarters, and an eerie calm before someone takes the shot.
For launch weekend beginning June 27th, Squid Grounds will be the only playable map in Fortnite Reload, replacing Oasis until June 30th. Expect high-stakes duels and a survival-game atmosphere built into Reload’s familiar loop. The loot pool is also expanding with the Red-Eye Submachine Gun, an Uncommon Boogie Bomb, and Itemised Glider Redeploy now available.
June 27th also marks a full Ranked Reset across Reload and Zero Build modes. Your new rank will be determined after one match in each mode, based on your current standing. That means a fresh start, and a shot at climbing without old scores holding you down. If you haven’t logged into Fortnite before, you will still need to outlast 500 opponents to unlock Ranked access.

If you’re itching for a head start, the Squid Grounds Cup also kicks off June 25th. This Duos Fill tournament on Slurp Rush offers the exclusive Games Guard Outfit for top performers in each region, ahead of its store debut. Score at least eight points and you’ll also earn the Masterful Stare Spray. Check the competition schedule page for more information.

The Squid Game map would be incomplete without accompanying collab cosmetics, which include an accessories bundle featuring Back Blings, a Wrap, and an Emote. Be on the lookout for Twitch drops as well, which will offer some more freebies.
