Yes, it's really been four years since Euro 2012 when Spain (as expected) won the whole thing. Again.

Since so much time has passed, chances are another team might be able to wrest the Henri Delaunay Trophy from the Spaniard's ageing hands. It might even be England. (Sorry, I'm just trying to hold back the laughter. And tears.)

Anyway, as football is now on the minds of the nation (and most of the nations in Europe) we thought we'd do a series of the best football games on iOS and Android. Aren't we nice?

We'll start with games for those who fancy themselves as Pep Guardiola. Read on for the seven best football management games on iOS and Android.

If you like some tasty visuals with your management sims, then you're going to want to opt for Football Manager Touch 2016. It's pricey (and only available on select devices), but you get a lot of bang for your buck.

That includes watching matches played out in full 3D. You can also create your own club, play the game across desktop and mobile, get stuck in with some serious, SERIOUS, stats.

However, if getting into the nitty gritty of stats, formations, and all that other management stuff is more your thing, get the (slightly) cheaper Football Manager Mobile 2016.

It might not have the tasty 3D visuals of Touch, but it's got everything else you need to be a top manager.

3

It's played online by over 100 million players worldwide and challenges you to lead the club of your choosing to glory. Just don't completely implode in your third season, eh?

PES Club Manager

PES Club Manager has the visuals of Football Manager Touch 2016 but without the price of entry. In fact, it's available completely for free.

Most excitingly, it's got licensing for over 5000 players, as well as clubs and leagues. So it could well be the most authentic management sim on this list.

7
Football Chairman Pro

Publisher: Game Insight
Available on: iOS + Android
Genre: Simulation, Sports

Football Chairman Pro

This is more of an honourable mention than a genuine entry, as Football Chairman Pro takes things a step further and places you in the shoes of Chairman instead of manager.

You'll build your own club from the ground up and then take it through seven divisions from the non-leagues right to the top.

You'll sign and develop players, select your managers, and improve the club's finances. Well, unless you're Mike Ashley, of course.
