What do you get if you combine QWOP, Track and Field, and a horse-racing sim?

In the hands of Shoot 1UP and Serious Sam Double D XXL - Gunstacker developer Mommy's Best Games, you'd get something like Finger Derpy.

This is a silly game about trying to control a nag by tapping your left and right fingers to control your horse's left and right hooves. It's like controlling a canoe. Only it's a horse.

If you keep a steady rhythm and alternate between hooves you'll run straight. If you mess up, you'll start to topple over like your horse has been on the brandy.

There's an endless-running solo mode where you try to escape the finish line while dodging barrels, spotlights, turtles, cars, and drums. And there's a party mode where four players race on a single device.

You'll also get to upgrade your steed and unlock new breeds with special powers like time slowdown which is just like real life.

As the game is coming out in time for the Kentucky Derby, the game also features local businesses, organisations, and landmarks from Louisville, including the Kentucky Science Center, Muhammad Ali Center, and the Louisville Orchestra.

It looks bonkers and slightly brilliant. Finger Derpy is coming out in early April for iOS and Android, as a free download.
