Redditors tracked down recent job posting for Nexon’s Final Fantasy XI project on the company’s careers site. Final Fantasy XI has been quietly chugging along since 2002, and it’s one of the few classic MMORPGs that’s held onto its subscription model. The game is well known for its daunting difficulty, but it has maintained a tight knit community, possibly as a result of the game’s tough nature.

Nexon could be a good match for the game, as they have a pedigree of fine mobile games including Dynasty Warriors: Unleashed and Battlejack. Here’s hoping Nexon’s recruitment efforts are a sign of more things to come for Final Fantasy XI mobile.
