PSP Final Fantasy I and II European releases confirmed

Square Enix has officially announced both Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy II will be coming to PSP in early 2008. And it's done so with new screenshots (FFII is shown and you can see FF images here).

The two releases detail the start of the Final Fantasy role-playing phenomenon and have been completely remastered for Sony's handheld. As such, they feature redrawn graphics and character art, enhanced sound, exclusive all-new dungeons, full 16:9 widescreen visuals and an updated camera view offering a new perspective with which to enjoy these classics.

We've reviewed the Japanese version of Final Fantasy already and loved going back to the beginning of the FF journey so we expect the European release to prove as enjoyable.

And we very much look forward to getting our hands on FFII, which we know includes two new dungeons (Arcane Labyrinth and Arcane Sanctuary), as well as new equipment, new enemies and a new boss.

Stay tuned for a review in the not too distant future.
