I know what you were thinking throughout the festive celebrations, family get-togethers and days spent in front of the telly stuffing yourself with salted cashew nuts. All the while something deep inside was gnawing away at you, and it wasn’t that triple brandy you rounded each evening off with.

No, you were wondering “what were the best selling N-Gage games during the final week of 2008?” Honestly, I can read you like a book. Well Nokia has finally seen fit to provide us with that very information, so rest easy my friends.

And what a chart it is. After a fairly stagnant few weeks leading up to the break we had two late releases that have stormed in, disrupting the old order of things.

The impressive Resident Evil: Degeneration took the last available 2008 number one slot, displacing the mighty Tetris like it was nothing more than a shuffling zombie.

The other newbie is Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 3D, which was released during Christmas week, and which pulled off a daring overtaking manoeuvre to land in third place. We’ll be bringing you a review very soon, so stay tuned.

The Top 5 N-Gage chart (w/e December 28th)

1. Resident Evil: Degeneration (Capcom)
2. Tetris (EA)
3. Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 3D (Vivendi)
4. World Series of Poker (Glu)
5. Metal Gear Solid Mobile (Konami)
