The App Stork: Introducing Jump O Mania 3D, DynoGems, Penguin Break...
...and some halloween themed extras
There’s no two ways about it - it’s been a quiet week. But that’s okay, because it means there's absolutely no excuse for you all to not download every single one of the games below. Indeed there’s a first with Jump-O-Mania 3D! in which powerbocking makes its gaming debut.
There are also two match-'em-up puzzle titles: one penguin flavoured, the other, dinosaur (or dyno, whatever that tastes like).
Remember, this feature is by and for you, so if you want to see your wares being covered on Pocket Gamer you need to post about them in the iPhone and iPod touch developer news section of the forums.
Even if you don’t make it into the featured three, we still include every new game that’s added every week below the jump.
And as for you players. What’s the matter? Cat got your tongue? Did your feline friend superglue your lips to your TV remote when you were sleeping?

Jump O Mania 3D! - Digital Worlds
Have you seen those crazy newfangled contraptions that allow you to jump insanely high? The verb for using such equipment is powerbocking apparently, though we can’t imagine its usage taking off, even if the contraptions themselves end up replacing plimsolls.
At any rate, developer Digital Worlds has submitted the world’s first powerbocking game, Jump-O-Mania 3D!, to the App Store and it should be out soon.
It looks like standard extreme sports fare, where you bounce along various courses pulling tricks for points and attempting to beat your best times. The game is currently tangled in Apple’s web of approval but it should be out soon. In the meantime, check out the impressive looking video below.

DynoGems - StormBASIC
Everyone knows that the only thing dinosaurs loved more than ripping other living things limb from limb with their teeth, was Swarovski Crystals. So to celebrate this fact (ahem), StormBASIC has released a cutesy dino-themed match-'em-up and watch them disappear title for the iPhone.
It looks like pretty standard stuff, but the Bluetooth multiplayer option could push this one’s addictive qualities into previously uncharted realms for the genre. At just 59p, it’s not going to cost you much to find out either.

Penguin Break - GameFlow Entertainment
Given that the flightless arctic bird’s natural colour scheme doesn’t really lend itself to multi-coloured match-'em-ups, the penguin is an odd choice of moniker for a game in this genre.
Never one to let nature’s style guidelines get in the way of a good slice of penguin-themed match-'em-up thrills, however, developer GameFlow entertainment has broken out Penguin Break.
Boasting touch and shake controls, as well as Facebook Connect high score bragging features and, well, lots and lots of penguins, Penguin Break is a solid looking effort indeed. Again, this one’s only 59p.
