6 games that were added to Huawei's AppGallery in August 2021
As our newest tradition here on Pocket Gamer dictates, we're back with another six games that have released on Huawei's AppGallery throughout the month. You see, whilst many of us are more intimately familiar with the App Store and Google Play, Huawei's marketplace serves over 500 million active users.
As such, those folks will want to know what game's they can now enjoy on their phone. But with so many apps added on a weekly and sometimes daily basis, it can be difficult to keep up. That's where we come in. These aren't necessarily brand new games but are instead making their debut on AppGallery. So let's jump into some of the games added throughout August.
World of Warships BlitzFirst up, Wargaming's popular tactical navy ship battler, World of Warships Blitz, has sailed onto AppGallery. It sees players building and commanding a fleet of historic ships that they can then deploy and control in third-person. Can you take command of the ocean?
There are numerous types of WWII vessels to choose from, including Battleships, Cruisers, Destroyers and even Aircraft carriers. In fact, there are a staggering130 ship classes available from various countries such as Japan, the USA., USSR, UK and Germany. Check out the trailer below to see some naval combat in action.
You can download World of Warships Blitz for free on AppGallery today.
Shadow Fight Arena
Next, we have Nekki Limited's PvP fighting game, Shadow Fight Arena. It is a 2v2 fighter that combines stylish 3D graphics and realistic animations to ensure you feel every kick and punch. It promises to deliver a console-level gameplay experience with simple controls that were designed with touch screens in mind.
Chances are you've already heard of Shadow Fight Arena since it's proven fairly popular since its initial release. It won Best Mobile Game of 2020 at the DevGAMM Awards and has been downloaded over 500 million times!
If you're looking for an excellent fighter to play on your phone, Shadow Fight Arena is available for free on AppGallery.
My Town Museum
Something a little more educational now for the parents among you. My Town Museum offers a fun way for children to learn about history and science across five different exhibitions. They see players waking up a slumbering Egyptian mummy, jousting in a medieval tournament and jetting off to space in a shuttle.
The gameplay itself looks to aid in the development of cognitive skills by presenting children with a series of puzzles to solve. There's plenty of fun to be had alongside learning, however, with 14 characters to interact with, including kings, knights and mummies, each of whom can be dressed with different outfits.
My Town Museum is available now over on AppGallery.
Hit Master 3D Knife Assassin
Next up, we have the colourful Hit Master 3D Knife Assassin from Azur Games, a game that tests players' accuracy as they make a bid to become the best spy. Of course, the aim of being a spy is to remain undetected by taking out enemies one by one.
Of course, that's not always possible. Getting spotted can happen. So, armed with a lot of throwing knives, players will need to eliminate a tonne of enemies as swiftly as possible. They can do this with knives alone or utilise the environment to their advantage by hitting exploding barrels. It's important to be careful, though. There are hostages to save as well.
You can test your knife-throwing skills in Hit Master 3D Knife Assassin by downloading it from AppGallery for free.
If you're looking for something a bit less frantic, you might be interested in Samfinaco Limited's Clockmaker. It is a match-3 puzzler that sees players renovating a city whilst helping their Uncle rescue the townsfolk. Though it sounds kind of stressful, it's intended to be a relaxing game that helps train the brain.
There are over 1000 match-3 puzzles to beat in Clockmaker, so it should take quite some time to beat all of them. It also focuses on the well-documented rivalry between Thomas Edison and Nikola Tesla, meaning players can expect lots of electricity sparks as they play.
Clockmaker is available now over on AppGallery as a free-to-play title.
Finally, we have Airplane Chefs, a cooking game that reaches new heights. It is a time-management focused cooking title that sees players making numerous meals and desserts to serve on commercial flights.
Whether customers are on a flight from London to Sydney or New York to Singapore, they will want some tasty food throughout the journey. There are hundreds of levels to play through alongside numerous decorations and upgrades to unlock.
