ARTE, Atomic Raccoon and Kilosaurus have teamed up to announce that the visual novel Family Bash will be available to download on iOS and Android beginning April 27. The game takes things up a notch when it comes to complicated family dynamics, and will task players with navigating the treacherous waters of a family reunion against the backdrop of a small village in Normandy.

Given that there's a will involved, players can look forward to nasty secrets and greedy relatives in Family Bash. Players' choices will affect how characters react to each other, whether that's engaging in emotional blackmail or stirring up trouble for their cousins in the powder keg of a reunion. The game boasts the musical prowess of Luis and Rafael Torres, as well as gorgeous illustrations by Geoffroy Monde and animations by La Mécanique du Plastique.

According to the press release, "Family Bash is a caustic but faithful portrait of the contemporary French family that attempts - by focusing on a seemingly ordinary family gathering - to understand why and how the members of one and the same family are bound together, despite the generational, technological, economic and political divides, and how these ties change over the years."

If you're keen on joining in on all the fun, you can do so soon by downloading Family Bash on iOS and Android (this was previously titled "Fête de famille"). You can also head on over to the official website for more info on the game, or take a little sneak peek at the embedded clip above to get a feel of the game's vibes.
