Escape into the skies in iPad hidden object game Empress of the Deep 2

Continuing Big Fish's wave of high quality hidden object games for iPad, comes Empress of the Deep 2: The Song of the Blue Whale.

As the title suggests, it's the sequel to the first Empress of the Deep game - both originally published by Gogii Games and developed by Canadian outfit Silverback for PC.

Up, up and away

You play once again as Anna, who having escaped from the undersea temple complex of evil Empress Pandora, wakes up on the shore of a mysterious island.

You have to make your way to a mystical floating cloud city in the sky, healing enchanted animal slaves along the way, and seeking out the four Children of Light - of course, by searching through complex images to find the required items, and playing mini-games.

As with most of Big Fish's games, Empress of the Deep 2 is available for free, with the whole nine chapters of the games unlocked via an in-app purchase, priced at $6.99, €5.49 and £3.99.

Alternatively, there's a Collector's Edition, which has an additional bonus area, four new scenes, Pandora's diary, an in-game strategy guide, and Zem, a gem matching game. This is priced at $9.99, €7.99 or £5.99.
