Square Enix has just announced their latest project, Emberstoria, an upcoming strategy RPG that is set to release on Android and iOS soon. As of now, the title is only confirmed to launch in Japan and we’re yet to see if it will release elsewhere. You’re about to embark on an immersive journey where survival hinges on using reclaimed knowledge and technology from lost worlds.
Emberstoria is set in the monster-infested land of Purgatory, a place where humanity has found a way to survive by exploiting ancient knowledge and reviving warriors known as Embers. These fearless fighters are key to taking on the trials of Purgatory and fighting back against magical beasts.
Your primary objective is to study the battlefield, battle alongside allies, and conquer the central tower that holds the fate of the world. With real-time tactics, every decision counts as you manage your forces and engage in intense battles.
Building and developing your base, Anima Arca, is another crucial aspect of Emberstoria. This floating city serves as your main stronghold, where you can strengthen your forces through research, construction, and resource production.
Customisation also plays a significant role, as you can adjust the layout and growth of the city to suit your strategy. Your army is led by Embers, otherworldly warriors trained with items obtained from defeating magical creatures, while weapons and armour crafted from the spoils of battle give you an edge in combat.

The title’s strong narrative will keep you captivated too. The story is centred around destiny and survival, with the world being brought to life by a caster of more than 40 voice actors.
