eFootball 2024 to exclusively feature top-flight clubs AC Milan and FC Internazionale Milano

Konami's football simulator eFootball will feature the exclusive branding of top-flight clubs AC Milan and FC Internazionale Milano in their 2024-25 season, it has been announced. The clubs will join Manchester United FC, which also renewed its partnership with Konami to feature in eFootball last month.
The inclusion of AC Milan and FC Internazionale Milano (Inter, as they're better known) can't be overstated, as both are top teams in the footy-mad Italian leagues. Boasting 39 Italian League titles and 10 European titles between them, it's not just popularity that they can boast of either.
It's also a demonstration that, when it comes to official branding, it's not just FIFA that dominates football. EA famously lost the FIFA licence but saw just as much if not greater success with their new EA FC, at least in terms of sales. However, eFootball has a much greater chance to capture an even larger mobile market than that mainline series.
Now I'm not a huge football fan, in fact, it probably says a lot about me that I recognise the famous San Siro stadium for its inclusion in a JoJo's Bizarre Adventure spin-off novel rather than an actual competition. However, in the same breath, even I can appreciate just how important a deal this is. Both of the Milanese clubs have equally passionate fanbases domestically and internationally, and ones that will gladly flock to eFootball.
