Thanks to the copyright stretching powers of Langdell, Edge is one of the highest profile (if not for best selling reasons) games on the App Store.

Still, having batted away numerous legal attacks, developer Mobigame is now floating in calmer seas, and hence Edge has been updated as a universal app for iPhone and iPad.

Bigger, bigger

Other new features included in the update include tweaking so that five levels are now unlocked from the get go, and better graphical performance, and - of course - nicer graphics in terms of support for Retina and iPad screens.

As for the Edge experience - if you've not yet experienced its block rolling joys - when we reviewed the original iPhone release, Keith said "Edge is the kind of iPhone title where style and substance unite, creating a block-shifting puzzler that's as maze-y as it is amazing."

Highly recommended in other words.

Edge is now available as a universal app for iPhone and iPad, priced $2.99, €2.39 or £1.79.
