Premium tower defence game going Google

Unreal Engine-powered Dungeon Defenders set for Android

We reported just the other week that Dungeon Defenders – a graphically rich mixture of tower defense and hack ‘n’ slash action – was on its way to iPhone and iPad.

Now we’ve had it confirmed that Trendy Entertainment is working on an Android version, too.

An inquisitive Twitterer asked if the multiplayer-capable game would be headed to the Google platform, to which Trendy Entertainment replied “Yessir.” Short, sharp, and polite. We like it.

As we revealed, Dungeon Defenders is set to be the first smartphone game to make use of the advanced Unreal Engine 3. The technology allows for some breathtaking visual effects that stray into the realm of the consoles.

Naturally, that means you’ll have to own a high-end Android in order to run the game well. My Galaxy S is poised and waiting.
