Spectacular Unreal-powered iOS adventure dream:scape gets a release date, new trailer
Plus spooky new trailer
It was way back in early April when we last caught sight of dream:scape, a spectacular new offering from Speedbump Studios.
We were drawn to the promise of a unique storytelling experience which focuses on main character Wilson, a coma patient whose adventures into his own subconscious lead him down a path of, "tragedy, betrayal, and ultimately, revenge". It's powered, like Infinity Blade, by the mighty Unreal Engine.
Unfortunately for everyone, the game hit a snag over compatibility issues with older generation devices, meaning that owners of anything older than iPad 2 or iPhone 4 would simply not be able to play.
In order to remedy this, Speedbump pulled its Apple submission and has spent the last few weeks rejiggering the game for iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, fourth-generation iPod touch, and both iPads.
No mention yet of third-generation iPod touch compatibility, though given that it's the equivalent of the iPhone 3GS we imagine it'll be fine.
Speedbump has also given dream:scape a release date of June 9th and this David Lynch-esque trailer.
