Retro Dreamer remembers Android with memory game debut DoubleTake!
Can you match it?
US-based indie Retro Dreamer has marked out its territory on iOS with well regarded pick-up-and-play games such as Sneezies, Linkoidz and Velocispider.
But for its first Android release, it's looked back to its matching/memory game DoubleTake!.
Combining a clean art style with four game modes, it has you attempting to pair up symbols that are hidden under tiles.
Memory mixerBasic mode is relaxed and simple as you just have to match the entire board of tiles, with your goal being to beat you best time and lowest number of moves. Leaderboards and achievements are provided by OpenFeint.
Sprint mode is the super fast mode, where you get one minute to match as many pairs as you can and scores are based on speed.
Timed mode is a less frantic option, as you compete against a longer time limit, while in Survival mode you'll lose health points for mismatches and gain them for fresh matches, but there's no time pressure.
DoubleTake! is out now on Android Market [link] and is free to download.
You can see how it plays in this video of the iOS version.
