An update fixing a major bug in Dexter the Game has gone live on the App Store points.

As we noted in our review, the 1.0 version of Dexter failed to run on devices with firmware 2.2.1 installed. That bug has been squashed in the game's 1.2 update.

According to developer Icarus Studios, the issue was related to an error that prevented the game from starting on 2.2.1 handsets.

The update also addresses our complaint regarding video controls that appear whenever a pre-rendered cinematic plays. After installing the update, videos play without the controls popping up.

Lastly, a loading screen has been put on the front end of the game so that you can identify that it has started correctly. Previously, the game started with a black screen that some users thought was a device crash.

Dexter the Game is available now on the App Store for £3.49/$5.99.
