Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat finally opens up pre-registrations for global audiences, implying a release date on the horizon

After announcing plans for a global version around two years ago, the mobile adaptation of the extremely popular Devil May Cry series, titled Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat, has opened up global pre-registrations for all gamers. This CAPCOM-published and Nebulajoy-developed action game seeks to take the high-octane action the franchise is known for and transport it into our pockets, with all of the flashy style and tough gameplay it’s always been known for.

Devil May Cry is a series just about any gamer will recognise, even if they never played any of the entries. It basically developed the character action genre, which includes the likes of games such as Bayonetta or Metal Gear Rising: Revengance. The throughline with this genre is that regardless of the game, they are always focused on using a wide variety of combat options to pull off extremely flashy combos and achieve high ranks in all of the combat encounters in a level.

Some people define Devil May Cry as a hack-n-slash, but I personally believe this implies a level of simplicity that is far from what DMC is truly about. This is a game about mastering every tool at your disposal to make absolute fools of all of your opponents, and with a few different playable characters that all play differently from one another, each with a substantial move list that you’ll need to learn to do well, these are complex and difficult games.

And now, with Peak of Combat opening up these global pre-registrations, it’s clear that the global version must be on the horizon. If you’re a fan of action games and have been hankering for a new mobile game to dig into, keep an eye out for the release date of Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat. In the meantime, you can pre-register for the game over at the official website right now!
