It's time to get to know Daedalic's eccentric trash-dwelling loser Rufus. Yep, the studio has released its cartoon point-and-click adventure Deponia for iPad today.

Deponia has you helping out Rufus as he tries to escort a woman who fell from the sky city of Elysium above his rubbish heap back to her home.

Along the way you'll get in plenty of trouble as you nick items to solve puzzles and allow Rufus to indulge his own goofiness.

He's a guy with big dreams but a lack of know-how restricts him from achieving them. Therefore, Deponia is a comedy-of-errors, a guy trying his best and managing only to humiliate himself.

If you're a fan of Daedalic's brand of hand-drawn adventures then Deponia should have piqued your interest.

It didn't do too badly when it arrived on PC a few years ago so hopefully this iPad version lives up to that at least.

You can purchase Deponia for £7.99 / $9.99 on the App Store for iPad only right now.
