Online multiplayer confirmed for Dead or Alive: Dimensions on 3DS

Comes with added attitude

Online multiplayer confirmed for Dead or Alive: Dimensions on 3DS

During the Nintendo 3DS preview event in Amsterdam, Dead or Alive: Dimensions producer Yosuke Hayashi revealed new details about the previously announced 3DS brawler.

Internet multiplayer support was the glaring omission from the original announcement, but this has now been confirmed. Players will be able to play each other online and locally while co-op play is also possible. The latest instalment in the beat-'em-up series will also support the 3DS’s new StreetPass feature.

Hayashi revealed that Team Ninja had wanted to create a portable fighter for some time but no suitable console existed until the advent of the 3DS. He also explained that Dead or Alive: Dimensions was a kind of a ‘best of’ compilation that would feature all the best bits (no sniggering) of the series, but would be arriving on the 3DS with 'attitude'.
