Mutant Mudds developer Renegade Kid has launched a Kickstarter project for its Vita-bound first-person survival-horror game Cult County.

A grand sum of $580,000 is being sought by Renegade Kid so to bring Cult County to life. The developer claims that the game will be a mix of The Walking Dead's episodic format, with the classic tension of Silent Hill and Resident Evil.

You play Gavin Mellick, travelling back to your hometown to visit your ill mother. But you get lost in a dust storm and have to ask the locals for help. That's when you learn of the dark turn that the town has taken since you left.

Last year, early signs pointed towards Cult County coming to 3DS. Alas, it seems that the game is now destined for almost every console but the 3DS.

So, if you'd like to see Cult County on your Vita, or PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox One, or Wii U, consider pledging towards it on Kickstarter. You can get the first five episodes on a platform of your choice for $15.
