As summer winds on, you may be stuck at home working and gazing out at the sun, wishing you were out there. Well, as the night closes in, you'll have the next best thing, as Shin Chan: Me and the Professor on Summer Vacation makes its mobile debut courtesy of the Crunchyroll Game Vault!
As you might expect from the folks at Crunchyroll, this is another niche anime classic, this time based on the hit all-ages series Crayon Shin Chan. But it has a legacy stretching further back to Japanese gaming classics with its rural setting and laid-back vacation vibes.
You play as Shinnosuke Nohara, the titular Shin Chan, for a seriously weird summer adventure. Be it fishing in the creek, exploring the town or battling dinosaurs Pokémon-style (really), there'll be plenty to do. Taking you back to the days of yore and the magic of a childhood summer.

Shin Chan: Summer Vacation (as it's listed on the store) is inspired by Boku no Natsuyami, which translates to 'My Summer Vacation!'. A definitive work from the PlayStation 1, it took players back to 1975 and had nothing so much as catching insects by way of action.Yes, when people were still thrilled by the adventures of Solid Snake or conquering Dracula's Castle, this was a bona fide laid-back, cosy adventure. And Shin Chan offers the same kind of gameplay with a little sprinkling of the more exciting and imaginative. Not to mention that it's now completely portable on your phone of choice!
