Countdown goes mobile... again!

Gameloft is turning popular UK quiz show Countdown into a mobile game, complete with starring appearances from Des O'Connor and Carol Vorderman.

It's the latest quizzer to get the mobile treatment from the company, following in the footsteps of Deal Or No Deal and Golden Balls.

Besides the hosts, it promises a "faithful reproduction" of the real-life set, as well as an adaptive difficulty level that automatically adjusts to your letter and number skills (or lack of).

There'll also be three game modes, including a training mode, and a full-on TV show. Oh, and it's all based on the Oxford Dictionary, so don't be thinking you can cheat by claiming that GXMFFETS is a word.

Hang on a mo' though. This isn't the first time Countdown has been turned into a mobile game.

Rewind your mind back to the start of last year, and you might remember this story about Dynamo Games making a version for mobile. Curious!
