Company of Heroes, the classic RTS, will launch for iPhone and Android on September 10th

Company of Heroes, the classic RTS that originally launched back in 2006, arrived on iPad earlier this year where it's been met with a positive reception thus far. Now developer Feral Interactive who handled that port has announced that the game will be available for iPhone and Android on September 10th.

If you're unfamiliar with the game it sees players taking charge of a squad during WWII and guiding them through events such as the D-Day landings and the liberation of Normandy. You can check out some of the gameplay in the trailer below.

Feral Interactive has spent a lot of time ensuring this port of Company of Heroes works well with touchscreens. This includes a Command Wheel to make controlling and giving orders to troops more straightforward. They've also made include more details on the tactical map and now allow players to filter through different units types to more easily control certain groups.
