Company of Heroes gets cross-play between Switch, iOS and Android in latest update
Calling all commanders

- Company of Heroes Collection for the Nintendo Switch has been updated with cross-play
- Now, fans on iOS and Android can jump into the fray with Switch players
- Command factions inspired by real-life WW2 military in RTS battles
When it comes to hit RTS', few are as beloved as the original Company of Heroes. Relic's hit WW2 strategy has had innumerable rereleases over the years, including on mobile. And now, a new update for Company of Heroes Collection brings cross-play multiplayer to the Nintendo Switch, allowing play with those on iOS and Android!
Fans will now be able to duke it out as either the Allies or Axis in Company of Heroes multiplayer. In this RTS, you compete to dominate a map and build outposts, all while requisitioning stronger units based on real-world troops, vehicles and artillery.
The addition of cross-play comes after its inclusion with the mobile versions of Company of Heroes Collection, and will allow players from across the world to compare their tactical grasp in order to dominate a variety of maps. Be it playing as the Wermacht or Panzer Elite, or the US Army and British 2nd Army.

Nothing to fear but fear itself (and commando rush)
I feel that the decision to bring cross-play multiplayer to Switch, and specifically tie into the iOS and Android versions of Company of Heroes, shows off just how important mobile has become to the portable gaming format.Feral Interactive also deserves a bit of a mention here, because their ports tend to be top-notch, and I think even die-hard Company of Heroes fans will be happy to see more and more people diving into what is proving to be a pretty timeless RTS experience.
