Command & Conquer: Red Alert deploying onto iPad
EA makes its move with revised controls and interface
Command & Conquer: Red Alert had trouble deploying on iPhone and iPod touch due to control issues, but EA is promising to have those fixed up for its iPad roll out.
Information retrieved from the App Store shows a release for an iPad-enhanced version of Command & Conquer: Red Alert set for Saturday, April 3.
The biggest change is the controls, which are sure to benefit from the larger iPad screen. Roping units and adjusting the camera should be a lot easier.
Better still, it will certainly provide more room for the interface. Collapsible menus for building units and structures dominated the screen on iPhone; here, they're relegated to the right side comfortably.
Also on the list of enhancements is higher resolution graphics, which are clearly highlighted in the above screenshot.
Command & Conquer: Red Alert will be available for iPad on April 3 at a price of $14.99; the iPhone and iPod touch version is available now for $6.99.
