There's no getting past the fact that Clarc looks really good. Its cartoon-edged robots and dirty industrial tech combine to form a game that just dances off the screen.

The game is all about a plucky little robot on a journey to fix a bunch of broken stuff. That mainly involves solving a series of puzzles set across a meaty chunk of levels.

Simple controls highlight the fact that the puzzles are mostly about spatial awareness. You need to manipulate lumps of the environment, you see. It's cramped and difficult, though, so some clever thinking is a necessity.

The puzzling is wrapped around a story involving party robots, attractive nuclear warheads, and a super-computer that goes by the name of F.A.T.H.E.R.

There are more than 100 puzzles to complete spread out across 25 different levels. You'll need to avoid lasers, lift boxes, and keep away from angry enemies here.

I've played the first couple of levels of the game, and they've certainly got me intrigued. The controls are slick, the presentation is top notch, and nerdy little robo-Clarc is surprisingly endearing.

If any of that sounds like it might float your boat, you can grab Clarc from the App Store right now for £2.99 / $4.99.
