Canadian studio Gamerizon has already done some big numbers - over eight million downloads - with its series of Chop Chop games.

But there's no stopping the chopping, which is certainly the case in its next release Chop Chop Slicer.

Straight edge

Obviously inspired by Fruit Ninja, but with bells on, it's a gesture slicing game that has you chopping up objects that come flying across the screen, as well as straight at you.

Indeed, according to the developer, unlike most slicing games, which use 'pre-determined cutting angles on simple convex objects', because Chop Chop Slicer uses 3D objects, you get more choice in terms of exactly how and at what angle you cut, and the game features concave targets too. So there!

Chop Chop Slicer will be available on June 9th, in a universal build for iPhone and iPad.

You can see how it plays in the following video.
