Championship Manager 2008 returns on mobile
Kicking off in November
Eidos has announced a mobile version of the latest iteration in its popular football sim franchise is coming in November.
Champ Man 2008 promises to be a fully featured conversion of the PC version, featuring all the tactical acumen and logistics of the latter, albeit helped by an easy-to-navigate menu system specifically designed for mobiles (think shortcut systems similar to those used in SMS to gain access to team rosters, transfer dealings and balance sheets, for example) and a new 2D match overlay.
As you might imagine, there is no radical departure from previous iterations with regards to the game's core. You select a squad from a worldwide list of players and teams, and are charged with turning them into trophy-winning heroes through tactical play, scouting, transfers and whatever else a manager's role involves.
Every facet should be covered, so whether you rely on using your talent scouts to spot the next young star, or mid-week training covering everything from fitness to positional awareness to set plays, the results do the talking. And the board is certainly expecting you to deliver.
We'll return with a review in the not too distant future, so click 'Track It!' to be automatically alerted to it.
