Carrion lets you consume humans as a monster across a reverse-horror platformer, coming soon

  • Play as a horrific creature and consume humans to survive
  • Evolve and grow your powers as you go along
  • Free trial with a one-time purchase to unlock the whole thing

Devolver Digital is inviting you to ramp up the chills this Halloween season with Carrion, the studio's "reverse horror" platformer where you play the role of the monster. Use your nasty tentacles, amorphous flexibility, and nightmarish powers of consumption to strike fear into the hearts of humans who dare to stand in your way.

In Carrion, you can look forward to taking vengeance on humanity by consuming the unwitting individuals who held you in captivity. Wreak havoc across the whole facility and thrive on screams of terror as you grow and evolve, acquiring bigger and more horrific abilities as you go along.

It's certainly an interesting twist to your average action platformer in that you'll play the role of the "evil" creature this time around, but who's to say who's truly evil here? Had the humans not imprisoned you, then this horrific fate wouldn't have befallen them, right?
