Tag Games announces Car Jack Streets DSi release date
And it's imminent
It's a busy week at Tag Games HQ. First, its long anticipated Animal Crossing-style space farming sim Astro Ranch hit the App Store to much acclaim, and now the publisher has broadcast the release date of its GTA-style mobile and iPhone hit Car Jack Streets on DSiWare.
It'll be out in the US on the 15th March, and in Europe a few days later on the 19th. The price is still to be confirmed.
Car Jack Streets is a top-down crime sim in which you play as Randal, a gambler who owes mob boss Frankie a million dollars. You clear the debt by committing crimes varying in severity from bank robbery to impersonating a bus driver.
The resemblance with the original Grand Theft Auto is unmistakable, but Car Jack Streets distinguishes itself with an interesting gameplay mechanic that requires you to earn $50,000 a week in real time to keep up with your debts. In other words, if you don't put in a certain number of hours a week you die.
