Canabalt races out onto iPhone

The hit free-running Flash game Canabalt is one of those titles that doesn't deserve to be nearly as much fun as it is, but somehow manages to regularly steal hours from your work day.

It's been quite a contest around the Pocket Gamer offices, seeing who can leg it the furthest across those dangerous rooftops, and our hands-on preview of the iPhone adaptation did nothing to assuage our hopeless addiction to this immensely simple game.

Your runner keeps on moving the whole time, requiring you to tap the screen to jump him over boxes and bombs, and across the gaps between roofs and through office block windows.

The game sprinted out onto the App Store last night, so do yourself a big favour and hit the 'Buy It!' button to go check it out.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
