Glu developing new Call of Duty game

It looks like WWII is to be the theme for mobiles today, as Activision has just announced a new partnership with Glu Mobile to develop a new Call of Duty game for phones.

There have been two Call of Duty games released for mobiles in already, both developed by Hands on Mobile. These previous Call of Duty mobile games have been isometric blasting affairs. The next mobile version may fall more in line with its console forefathers, though, and offer a first-person perspective.

Speaking about the new deal, Glu Mobile's Greg Ballard made a potentially revealing comment: "The Call of Duty franchise has brought new meaning and innovation to the first-person action category and is a great addition to Glu's portfolio of award-winning games."

Not exactly confirmation of the new game being a first-person shooter but it certainly sounds as though Glu is thinking that way.
