Bullet Hell Infinite will bring colourful Danmaku shooting to iOS and Android shortly

NB Games is bringing its colourful shooter Bullet Hell Infinite to iOS and Android later this week.

As you can see by watching the video above, Bullet Hell Infinite is inspired by the classic Danmaku shooters of the '90s. Although it's not quite as ridiculous as some of those older games.

It's all about shooting tons of brightly coloured bullets at moving formations of enemies while simultaneously dodging the same number of bullets coming back at you.

Expect to get drenched in bullets, in other words. It's a storm out there and you're in the middle of it.

One cool feature of Bullet Hell Infinite is that, even though it only has four hard levels (with six unique enemies in each), it generates new waves of enemies each time you play them.

This will hopefully add some longevity to it, but it also means you'll have to rely on your wits rather than memorising bullet patterns.

There will, of course, be tougher boss battles that'll test your skills out the end of the levels. But you're able to upgrade your ship as you progress, so you also become more formidable over time.

Bullet Hell Infinite also has a tutorial, Game Center support so you can share your scores with friends, and it is iCade compatible too.

According to this tweet by developer Nicolas Bevillard Bullet Hell Infinite should be out in the next week. We'll let you know when it does arrive on iOS and Android.
