Rayman's coming to the platform fighter Brawlhalla and fans are a bit torn about it

Back in August we found out that Blue Mammoth Games would be bringing its free-to-play platform fighter, Brawlhalla, to Nintendo Switch. Today, however, there's a new face joining the team - Rayman.

Brawlhalla is a little like Super Smash Bros in that you've got to knock seven opponents off the fighting stage. While each character can carry two weapons, you can change them up mid-fight if you think others would be better suited to the battle. You can still kick butt the old fashioned way, of course.

As the name of the game might suggest, Brawlhalla is set around viking lore. After commanding the Valkyries to gather the very best warriors to fill his halls, Odin quickly finds out that they've brought warriors from all times and places. Since not everyone gets on, Brawlhalla gives the fighters a chance to blow off some steam as they await Ragnarok.

You'd think Rayman would be a pretty good fit for Brawlhalla, but aside from a few fans questioning how he fits into the lore (though pirates, cowboys, and Amazons aren't exactly in the books), it seems people have taken this as a sign he won't be in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Whether Rayman'll make a cheeky appearance or not, we'll have to wait and see, otherwise he'll be in at least one multiplayer Nintendo Switch brawler on November 6th.
