BraveNine Story, the new quasi-sequel to hit gacha RPG Brave Nine, opens up Android pre-registration
Acclaimed developer Neowiz has announced that their upcoming visual-novel RPG Brave Nine Story - one of the few planned new entries into the Brave series - has opened up pre-registration. Currently planned for a release date of later this year, this new chapter in the popular franchise acts as a sort of spinoff from the original Brave Nine and features a ton of lore and information regarding certain characters both old and new.
Where Brave Nine was a gacha RPG, Brave Nine Story takes a new approach that aligns it a lot more with a visual novel or narrative-driven game. Of course, this doesn’t mean that you can’t expect any combat or something dramatic like that, as it is also an RPG still. You’ll gather up a party and gear them up as well as level them up to be sure they can meet the requirements to clear content and progress the storylines that you’ll take part in.
Story details are pretty under wraps at the moment to avoid spoiling any of the surprises that will reveal even more information about all of the bits and pieces of the Brave world and its characters. Along the way, you’ll meet plenty of characters, most new but some old and recognisable from the previous entry.
There are so far four different game modes announced. We’ve got the main Story Mode which will take you through the primary plot of the game, alongside the Sub Story mode which is essentially side stories told about and from the perspectives of all of the characters you’ll meet throughout your journey.
Battle Play sounds like it’s set up to be adjacent to a hard mode version of the game, making the fights much more difficult and requiring lots of strategy and planning. And of course, it wouldn’t be a Brave spin-off without a PvP mode, which will be offered here as well.
