Digital board game Brass is on sale for iPhone and iPad, but is it worth a punt?
All about that brass
Have you ever wondered how you'd fare during the industrial revolution in the north of England, but you've never had the cash to invent a time machine?
Well I've got good news for you, because Brass, the digital board game adaptation set during the industrial revolution in the north of England, is currently on sale for iPhone and iPad.
You need to buy, sell, and trade, in order to make more money than the competition. It's all about entrepreneurial spirit, gouging prices, and forming a strategy to ensure that your ragged-clothed mill workers produce faster than everyone else's.
Some of that might be hyperbole, but this is still a brilliant and incredibly in-depth historical strategy game that does away with the usual guns and bombs and instead focuses on the birth of capitalism.
Our main complaint when the game came out a couple of years ago was that it lacked a solid tutorial and in-game rulebook, but it looks like updates since then may well have rectified that.
And right now you can grab the game for just £3.99 / $3.99 by following this link. And we reckon if you're a fan of strategically making a whole wodge of cash, you should definitely check it out.
