Bound by Blades is an upcoming indie title created by Zeth and published by the acclaimed Assemble Entertainment group. It combines RPG elements with boss rush-style gameplay that focuses on difficult combat and crafting. The developer has revealed today that it will be available in Q4 2022 on Steam. Unfortunately, handheld device users, namely Android, iOS, and Nintendo Switch will have to wait until 2023 to enjoy the game.

In Bound by Blades, players will travel through the wonderful world of Ashmyr, which was once a magical land thriving with life. Unfortunately, this vast place has now been plagued by desolation and despair, as Ilcyons - who are bloodthirsty enemies - have taken over everything. Throughout the story, players will come across fearsome bosses and interesting NPCs as they slowly uncover Ashmyr’s history and what led to its downfall.

More often than not, players will find themselves defeating and slaying bosses, whose remains they will have to harvest in order to level up and craft new gear. The further players progress into the game, the harder the enemies will get, so upgrading gear becomes a must. Bound by Blades may sound daunting, but casual gamers can totally get in on the action too. It has been designed to cater to all skill levels as players will use a variety of moves like Quick and Strong Attacks, Combos, and Unique Combo Finishers.

The game also features three main characters - Teo the Kuza cat, Guren the Fangorian bunny, and Space Oxbourne ox - that players can seamlessly switch between. Additionally, players will also be able to get a friend to tag along as Bound by Blades features a co-op mode as well, allowing players to get themselves a companion to slay demons with.

The wait is not over yet, but Bound by Blades should launch sometime soon next year!
