Majestic Software inks in late-January release date for gorgeous-looking hand-drawn side-scroller Blot on iOS

Majestic Software has confirmed that its new artsy side-scroller Blot is heading to iOS devices later this month.

In Majestic Software's forthcoming title, you control the eponymous cheerful blob of ink, who is blasted out of a fountain pen and sent flying across pages decorated with pencil drawings.

Picking up smaller blots will provide the inky adventurer with some extra acceleration, though he'll have to be careful in avoiding all the pencils and thumbtacks.

Blot on the landscape

You can customise Blot by dressing him up in pirate, Elvis, and Viking outfits. Blot also changes colour upon collecting certain paint pots.

Blot (the game) will have Game Center support baked in, so expect tons of leaderboards and achievements.

Blot is due out on iPhone and iPad sometime in the next 11 days.
