Infinity Blade-inspired Blood & Glory arrives on Android and iPhone for free
Gladiators, ready!
Glu released its latest freemium title Blood & Glory onto the Android Market and App Store this weekend, apparently aiming to satisfy Android owners searching for an Infinity Blade replacement (or iOS users who need something to fill the wait for the sequel).
It’s a gladiator vs gladiator arena combat game that pitches you against increasingly tough opponents in over-the-shoulder, swipe-based mortal combat.
As with Epic and Chair’s opus, swiping on the screen attacks your opponent while tapping the sides initiates evasive manoeuvres to avoid being smacked about yourself.
Also familiar is the eye-catching graphics, which the developer has called ‘console-quality’. For once, we’re not going to disagree with them - it looks lovely.
It is also, however, an entirely freemium title, which will no doubt mean some serious grinding for the high quality equipment.
Nevertheless, Blood & Glory is available now from the Android Market for free (download), and you can grab if for iOS by hitting the button below.
