F2P puzzler Best Fiends from ex-Rovio devs sees heroic bugs and nasty slugs at war
Releasing globally in October
Seriously has announced that its free to play, bug-collecting puzzler Best Fiends will be available worldwide in October.
We seem to know more about Seriously than the game at this point. Seriously is headed by former Rovio executives Andrew Stalbow and Petri Järvilehto, you see.
We haven't seen any screenshots of the game yet. Nor do we know how the blend of storytelling and puzzle solving will work.
What we have been told is that Best Fiends will have us discovering the fiendish inhabitants of Minutia. Judging by the artwork, it seems these inhabitants are a bunch of cute and heroic bugs.
You'll be looking to collect these bugs and levelling them up to gain special powers for use in the puzzles.
Best Fiends is the first in a series of games that will follow the story of these bugs as they engage in an all-out war with the Slugs of Mount Boom.
There will also be animated shorts to further flesh out the world of Minutia and the game's main characters.
You can get your first look of the characters and world of Best Fiends over on the official website.
