At GDC in San Francisco, we met up with Halfbrick's Phil Larson to check out his studio's next gruesomely addictive iOS game: art gallery destruction sim Bears vs. Art.

It's all about a grizzly bear who barrels through puzzle box galleries to shred up paintings. The art is all randomly dreamt up by an algorithm - maybe a scathing satirical statement on modern art from Halfbrick? Probably not.

The game's out in soft launch mode at the moment. And when Chris had a go at it, he found that Bears vs Art's "biggest strength is supplying a mix of slow puzzle levels, and more action-oriented speed challenges". The wait-or-pay energy system was less fun, though.

Want to see it in action? Watch Larson demonstrate the game in the video above. He says the game will be out worldwide "soon".
