Sony confirms you'll be able to play Battlefield 4 on your Vita via Remote Play at launch

According to Sony president Shuhei Yoshida, Vita gamers will be able to stream Battlefield 4 for PS4 to their handheld consoles via Remote Play at launch.

For this to work most effectively, both your PS4 and Vita should be connected to the same wi-fi network.

Remote Play on the PS4 will only become available, mind, after you download and install the day one PS4 firmware update.

You'd have to be mad to buy a PS4 just so you can stream next-gen games to your Vita. However, if you own both a PS4 and Vita, Remote Play could be very useful indeed.

Battlefield 4 will be a PS4 launch title, meaning you will be able to pick it up on November 15th in North America and on November 29th in Europe.
