ZOZ: Final Hour is an upcoming adventure escape game-slash-shooter from NetEase Games, and the Closed Beta Test is now open in Brazil. Eager beavers can now download the game on Google Play to get first dibs on the unique PVPVE title.

In ZOZ: Final Hour, players need to brave the zombie city San Yager as a bold mercenary on the hunt for the Blood Crystal. Collecting enough of these mysterious materials comes on top of evacuating the city in one piece. Should you fail your mission and get killed, you'll turn into a Zombie Merc, now with a new mission to kill the other players and prevent their escape.

"Usually in a competitive game, death means the end. If you're unfortunate enough to get killed shortly after dropping, there's nothing you can do but start a new game," says K.Ghost, the producer of ZOZ: Final Hour, in the developer's letter. "We think that kind of punishment is too severe and frustrating, and started to figure out a way to beat the death mechanic. And, voila! The mechanic of turning into a Zombie Merc—i.e. the once prey becomes the predator—is born. (laugh).”

The game features stunning visuals and an optimized AI that will supposedly make the zombies' performance smarter to pose a bigger challenge for players. During the CBT, there will be eight weapons to test and a bunch of tactical gear to tinker around with. Players can score the Blood Crystal by eliminating the zombie Incubator, rob fellow Mercs, or even form unlikely alliances with strangers (and double-cross them later). It's all about the lengths you're willing to go to for survival.

ZOZ: Final Hour is now holding its Closed Beta Test in Brazil, and you can join in over on the game's official website.
